Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City West Constituency, George Zulu has commended the cordial relationship between the MP and Ward Councillors in the area saying they are in good connection that has enhanced developmental projects in the area.
The recommendation was made Sunday during commissioning ceremony of borehole at Mwenera and Chimbalame Bridge in Mtandire in Lilongwe.
Zulu applauded the cordial relationship that exists between the Mp and Councillors in the constituency.
“It is very important to work hand in hand with Councillors, it makes to ease my job, because they are the people who work on my behalf, I delegate them to go and meet the people on developmental projects,” he added.
Zulu assures to continue with jovial relationship they would keep on utilizing Constituency Development Funds (CDF) properly in fulfilling the developmental projects promised during campaign in order to make Lilongwe City West constituency on top.
“This was just commencement of several projects I promised. Everyone is making efforts to make sure that we develop the area. We have just commissioned a borehole and bridge that we constructed using CDF,” he added.
Councilor for Mtandire Ward, Ruth Njirayafa said the bridge would bring more developments as it would help all road users including business people to ease movement and transportation of goods and necessities in the area.
“The new bridge is connecting Mtandire and Mtsiliza wards which is a busy road that simplifies movement in both locations and the borehole will help people to ease the challenge of portable water for health life,” she explained.
Senior Chief Chigoneka was grateful to receive the developments in the area hence emphasizing people to be responsible, take extra caution and never to damage any development in the area.
“This is a relief to people of Mtandire and Mtsiliza; I am emphasizing people that they should look after the bridge and all existing projects in the area,” he said.
